Our client are a global, blue-chip Pharmaceutical company that specialises in the Diabetes marketplace. As a progressive organisation, they have exciting growth plans for the next few years. As the company moves into the next chapter of their growth strategy, they are looking for a highly-motivated and enthusiastic Account Specialist to join a well-established team to promote a Type 2 Diabetes brand. This role focuses predominantly on working with Primary Care Healthcare Professionals including GPs, Practice Nurses and Pharmacists across North and South Warwickshire CCGs. There will also be an element of Secondary Care responsibility dependent upon the needs of the business.

Essential Requirements:
Our client are looking for candidates with experience in Pharmaceutical sales or within Generics or FMCG Healthcare sales. Graduate backgrounds will also be considered.
North or South Warwickshire offers the ideal location for this position, but applications may be considered from individuals who reside in surrounding areas and are willing to consider the travel element.
ABPI qualification is desired, except for new to industry Representatives.
Ideally you will have knowledge of the key customers and Diabetes therapy area.
Have awareness of external competitive practice.
Be qualified to a minimum of A-Level standard or equivalent. A degree qualification would be preferred.
Possess a high emotional intelligence demonstrated through management of own attitude.
A Full driving licence is required.

Role Responsibilities:
Selling defined brands in your specialist therapy area to clinical customers across Primary Care and Secondary Care (GPs, Practice Nurses, Retail Chemists, Hospital Customers) through face to face contact.
Organising and hosting clinical promotional sales meetings and symposiums.
Developing and continuously improving a high standard of selling skills, product knowledge and knowledge of the NHS.
Demonstrating a level of knowledge in your therapy area that makes you a recognised specialist in this area.
Delivering against an activity plan within key practices, retail and hospital sectors as agreed through effective planning and implementation of call and meetings plans.
Delivering agreed tactics within Territory Action Plan and ensure plans are up to date.
Ensuring that all activities comply with the company’s corporate governance standards and the ABPI code.
Keeping a daily record of customer contacts and share with colleagues.
Identifying the needs of customers and opportunities to provide solutions to develop our business.
Identifying emerging customers who will influence our sales.
Advocacy - Work to develop key customers in line with brand strategy and as part of the local account plan.
Meeting deadlines for business planning requests, business reporting, etc.
Supporting effective cross-functional working through regular sharing of information.
