Working in the Pharmaceutical industry as an Oncology Account Manager , you will be responsible for generating clinical demand for Oncology brands within key hospital accounts (hub and spoke), pro-actively identifying business opportunities and recommending solutions to drive and develop business. Reporting directly into the National Oncology Business Lead, you will achieve this by effectively developing and handling specific complex accounts in order to build productive and meaningful working partnerships. This includes taking responsibility for producing, coordinating and communicating sales programmes and account plans with the ultimate objective of driving incremental sales and margin through your key account client base. The role also involves cultivating relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to fully realise business opportunities.



Accountabilities include:

Accountable for increasing prescribing of our brands through effective promotion to senior/influential customers within a defined set of key accounts through enhanced key account management working.

Pro-actively identifying key account needs.

Development of Local Advocates in allocated accounts

Cultivate relationships with key internal and external stakeholders that will realise business outcomes in the short, medium and long term.

Ensure compliance of all Company Governance Framework & ABPI.

Contribution towards the delivery of the annual P&L and contribution budget, and Sales targets.

Manage budget within +/- 3%.



The role is accompanied by an excellent package which includes a negotiable basic salary based on experience, pension, healthcare, bonus scheme and company car scheme.



Qualifications

Essential:

Educated to degree level or equivalent

Full driving licence

ABPI qualification



Person/Experience Required

Essential:

Secondary care sales experience with a sound knowledge of key account management within a speciality care environment

Proven track record of sales & business management success in speciality secondary care

Proven track record in influencing the prescribing decision-making process across key accounts

Excellent business acumen, demonstrating good analytical, planning and organisational skills

Self-starter and effective problem solver- responsible for own actions and results

Strong communication and team working



Desirable:

Experience and success ideally within Oncology

Current knowledge and experience of designated territory and customers

Experience of influencing successfully in a complex organisation

A flexible approach in being able to adapt as the brands develop in the market place
