As the Brand Director you will lead, champion and deliver a customer centric, company aligned brand plan with the aim of delivering and exceeding the UK sales targets.

Accountabilities:



Leads the Development of a Customer Centric Brand Planning process throughout the organisation
Works effectively with all departments/stakeholders within the business (both UK and International) to ensure that all company policies are followed and opportunities for integration and synergy are fully leveraged to enhance product and Company performance.
Works in close partnership with counterparts from alliance partners to ensure a clear mutual understanding of key UK market issues so that sales and marketing plans can be fully aligned and integrated, and UK profitability is optimised.
Engages with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement a Marketing Excellence programme to ensure high quality plans are developed and delivered using all available channels and resources
Ensures that personal expertise in terms of markets, NHS understanding, clinical data and sales/marketing best practice is sufficient to optimise performance
Positive and constructive contribution to the Company’s UK Leadership Teams decision-making process.
Leads, inspires, motivates and develops the Marketing team to optimally deliver against the teams business goals




Qualifications

Essential: ABPI and Full driving license and flexibility to travel when necessary

Desirable: Degree level education, preferably life sciences



Person/Experience Required

Essential:

Proven experience designing, and developing Marketing strategy, within an international brand framework.

Proven leadership skills with highly effective communication, networking and influencing capability both with senior internal and external stakeholders.

In-depth and current understanding of the secondary care market and proven ability to successfully commercialise brands to deliver business objectives in the UK.

Proven expertise leading a cross functional team to drive brand performance within the UK.

Proven ability to develop and successfully deliver annual revenue, cost and/or profit plan across a team, brand or Business Unit.

Substantial and successful experience gained in managing teams of sales professionals and/or marketers within a pharmaceutical organisation.

P&L management responsibility.



Desirable:

Substantial experience gained in managing teams of sales professionals (including sales managers) and marketers within a pharmaceutical organisation.

Proven ability to develop and lead the implementation of Key Account Management within a specialty business leading to high performance.

Professional qualification obtained in a relevant subject - e.g. MBA, CIM etc

Previous experience of leading a business unit assuming full responsibility for sales and marketing

Previous experience of negotiating and successfully delivering cross-company alliance projects that deliver additional profit for Business Unit/ Company.

Experience working within a relevant NHS role.
