Location: This role is field based and covers the Midlands and north of the UK from Birmingham to North Scotland.

Our Client is a rapidly growing speciality pharmaceutical company engaged in the development and commercialisation of prescription medicines for the treatment of unmet therapeutic needs in major markets.

They are entering an exciting pre-launch phase with an array of development and in-licensed global products which will join an expanding, successful product portfolio. With numerous product launches expected over the next three years, and further new product development

As a Medical Science Liaison you will be a therapy area expert and will be key to enhancing and communicating complex cutting edge scientific information and research concepts in diseases supported by the clients rare disease portfolio.

Responsibilities:



Provide a field-based presence and scientific capability

Work in partnership with clinicians as a source of fair, balanced and scientifically rigorous information

Identify and develop strong sustainable peer to peer relationships

Identify opportunities to support and enhance patient care



Qualifications

Relevant medical/pharmacy/nursing/bioscience background (higher degree and relevant registration preferred)



Person/Experience Required

Good knowledge of compliance regulations

Extensive experience in Medical Affairs or Clinical Operations

In-depth knowledge of local, regional and national healthcare systems and processes for allocation and delivery of care

Working experience in orphan/ultra-orphan therapy areas (preferred)
