Our client is an essential part of the UK Healthcare sector, they're a company that makes a difference to millions of people's lives, day in and day out. They make hundreds of different medicines, treating patients for conditions ranging from hay fever to cancer. Their key therapy areas include central nervous system conditions, respiratory, pain, oncology, mental health and urology. They are looking to recruit commercially focussed individuals who are highly capable and proactive, ready to adapt and align to the changing needs and priorities of the evolving NHS.

This is a Key Account Manager role reporting into a Regional Sales Manager. You will manage and develop a sales territory and ensure sales targets are achieved through optimal formulary positioning in both primary and secondary care. You will be capable of maximising prescribing opportunities in both environments and create clinical and commercial demand through appropriate prioritisation of prescribers and influencers within your key accounts. The role will deal with exciting new anti-infective products.

You should have proven experience of advocacy development and customer mobilisation to support brand development. You will be accountable for identifying account needs and recommending business opportunities to facilitate on-going market access.

Key Responsibilities: The main responsibility of this role will involve active face to face selling to NHS customers working within the Primary and Secondary Care environments. The key to success in this role will be down to your ability to:
•Maximise sales and increase market share for the brand.
•Actively work towards, and be accountable for, achieving commercial objectives set by the sales management team.
•Gain formulary inclusion, help shape and develop clinical protocols, and ensure implementation of positive guidance through affirmative stakeholder endorsement.
•Ability to develop commercial insight for competitive advantage
•Evidence of ability to prioritise and manage several key accounts
•Develop, implement and continually review key account plans to ensure highest ROI.
•Identify and action new opportunities which will drive business.
•Identify and develop key opinion leaders to positively influence the use of the company’s brand(s).
•Maintain thorough working knowledge of disease therapy area, brand and competitor activity.
•Demonstrate a high level of teamwork and sharing best practice.
•Continuously demonstrate strong 1:1 selling skills.

•Possess a full, valid UK driver’s licence

Experience The ideal candidate will have:
•A minimum 3 years’ experience selling pharmaceutical products in the healthcare industry
•Formal sales training with SPIN selling an advantage
•Secondary care experience is beneficial
•Good disciplined use of Veeva or similar CRM an advantage
•Experience working with marketing or communications functions desirable
•Strong evidence of leadership, coaching or field trainer roles an asset
