The aim of the role is to support the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Learning and Development (L&D) function in delivery of training at a local/cross country level for the allocated countries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. You will be supporting the head of L&D in implementing and maintaining the overall strategy for Oncology. Lead a team of remote L&D managers and centrally based EKC Corporate Learning and Development Manager to ensure training needs are aligned with corporate objectives. You will also be responsible for the development and management of the Oncology Learning and Development Provision.
Furthermore, the ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the commercial effectiveness and strategy of the Oncology Learning and Development in collaboration with the Head of L&D. The candidate will also develop, co-ordinate and maintain in house training course to be delivered on a rolling programmes based on EMEA priorities, hence sufficient experience in this area is necessary. Alongside the commercial oncology training there will also be a significant proportion of corporate training in which the candidate will collaborate with HR and L&D colleagues to optimise training resources across the company, driving excellent performance and results. You will also act as a local contact for all training and development needs. Maintaining exceptional standards throughout your work is essential to our client.
The ideal candidate will have the required experience:
•Excellent track record and sustained experience in pharmaceutical healthcare training.
•Proven track record of delivering high quality training related work with tangible outcomes.
•Experience providing strategic input into L&D activities at a regional level.
•Experience deputising in the absence of a Manager – formal or informal experience.
•Ability to function in and influence key stakeholders in a matrix organisation.
•Sound understanding of Oncology is desirable & Neurology / Alzheimer’s markets advantageous.
•Experience in developing and maintaining training partner(s) and a pan EMEA KOL network.
•Able to get on with others and be a team-player having the ability to work within a team and independently in a proactive manner.
And will have these skills:
•Excellent project management skills, able to work in a fast changing, pressurised environment.
•Excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator and motivator including using written media
•Understands the principles of features-benefits-solutions selling models and marketing
•Appreciates need for consistency across the company's people and portfolio training needs including selling and training ideas, courses, programmes and products
•Experience of managing commercial training programmes in the Pharma industry
•Experience of implementing / managing / administering eLearning solutions
•Apply knowledge of global and cultural environment to guide decisions and actions
•Experience of managing external training agencies and activities
•Excellent people-management skills, experience and natural influencing ability
•Experience with psychometric instruments preferable
•Experience of IT procedures in regulated environments
•Mature, credible, well presented and comfortable in dealing with EMEA affiliates
•Demonstrate motivation and drive to achieve challenging work related goals and reach positive business results, pushing work to completion
