Regional Scientific Liaison Manager, Southern UK.

As Regional Scientific Services Manager you will be responsible for field based provision of medical and scientific information to customers. This would include responsibility for the management of relationships with national key opinion leaders to ensure alignment of professional opinion and the company’s strategy particularly in areas of emerging science and forthcoming product developments. You would also take the lead on the local management of relationships with clinicians undertaking investigator led and non R&D studies. Your role would also support to the national business unit to provide clinical insight, technical expertise and scientific training.
This role does require a high level of clinical understanding; it is likely you are either a Medical Doctor, Ophthalmic scientist, Biologist, Chemist, Pharmacist, with a MD
or PhD degree. In addition you will ideally have experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in a field base liaison role. Your other skills and abilities will include:
• The ability to present and discuss complex data with senior clinicians and colleagues
• Excellent analytic and presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Proficient in using standard IT systems
• Excellent command of spoken English and preferably confident in at least one other relevant language
• Willingness to travel on a regular basis
• High level of personal accountability and self motivation
• Ability to work cross functionally at national and regional level
This is a non promotional role field based opportunity – 65% of your time would be customer facing.
