OPEN Health, a new healthcare communications company, has acquired established agency Lane Earl Cox (LEC).

OPEN Health was launched in January 2011 and is the first channel and discipline neutral agency in the health communications sector. LEC is one of Europe’s most experienced agencies, with previous campaigns including Lipitor, Losec, Vioxx, Aricept, Symbicort, Atripla and Prozac.

Mike Lane, Co Founder of LEC said: “We are absolutely delighted that LEC will become part of OPEN Health. There has been a proud history of developing exceptional campaigns for our clients. Now the agency can tap into the wealth of medical education, PR, market research and digital expertise available at OPEN Health and add even more value to our clients’ businesses.”

Lane Earl Cox is to be rebranded as OPEN LEC. Matthew Baker, former Deputy MD of LEC, will take the reigns as Managing Director, as well as taking a partnership in OPEN Health. Mike Lane and David Earl, founder members of LEC, will become consultants to the business.

OPEN Health is a joint venture with global communications group Chime Communications PLC.
