Merck KGaA has appointed two new members to its Executive Board.
Matthias Zachert, who will succeed Dr Michael Becker, and Frederic Wohlwend, who will assume the duties of Chief Information Officer, are both set to join.
Dr Frank Stangenberg-Haverkamp, Chairman of the Board of Partners, says Mr Zachert is “an ideal addition” who will “give new impetus to the further development of our Finance Department”.
Mr Wohlwend will start his role on 1 April 2011 and Mr Zachert, who will also become a General Partner, will assume his position from the summer of 2011
