Bedfont Scientific moves to new premises

by emma 5. August 2011 14:21

Award-winning breath monitor specialist Bedfont Scientific has moved to new purpose-built offices in Harrietsham, Kent.

The opening of the company’s new home was attended by local MP Hugh Robertson (who unveiled a commemorative plaque) and by the deputy mayor of Maidstone, Rodd Nelson-Gracie, as well as key customers and suppliers.

Originally a Victorian coach shed, the building has been extensively restored (over three years) after a period of disuse.

Bedfont Scientific manufactures exhaled breath and gas monitoring instruments for medical, scientific and industrial markets worldwide – including specialised carbon monoxide monitors for use in smoking cessation programmes (Smokerlyzer) and by emergency services (ToxCOTM).

The move completes a trio of successful events for Bedfont in 2011: the company was declared ‘Business of the Year’ at the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce Awards 2011 in March, and won in both the ‘Best Science and/or Technology Business’ and ‘SME Business of the Year’ categories at the Kent Excellence in Business Awards (KEIBA).
