Novartis employee awarded MBE

Pharma industry veteran and current Novartis employee, Gary Fagg has been awarded an MBE in the Queen's New Year's Honours list for services to his community.

Mr Fagg is currently employed as an NHS Business Manager, but has 30 years’ experience in field sales with both Bayer and Novartis, a career that started with a job as a lab technician.

He has been honoured for his charity work as chairman of diabetes charity the Paula Carr Trust, and for various roles within his town of Romney Marsh in Kent.

Gary Fagg has held roles as a New Romney town councillor and a governor at St Nicholas Primary and Southlands Schools, as well as chairing New Romney Football Club, New Romney Sports Club, Littlestone RNLI and the New Romney Scouts.

“It's all been with the support of my wife of 37 years, Sue,” he said. “Those around me have put in a lot of hard work.”
